White Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients:

2-3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

A pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Prepare the Batter:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then gently stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped walnuts (if using).

Bake:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

If the top of the bread starts to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning.

Cool and Serve:

Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve the bread warm or at room temperature.

Tips for Perfect Banana Bread:

Use Ripe Bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your bread will be. Look for bananas with plenty of brown spots.

Don’t Overmix: Overmixing the batter can result in a dense, tough bread. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.

Room Temperature Ingredients: Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing to ensure a smooth batter.
